We make every collar and accessory by hand in our small Alberta studio, with a whole lot of love and a little bit of dog hair along the way. Here are some of the questions we get asked most often.

🐾 Are your collars handmade?

Yes! Every Fetch & Frolic collar is handmade in small batches in Alberta, Canada. From cutting and sewing to adding the hardware and finishing touches, each collar is made with care and attention to detail.

Because they're handmade, tiny variations may occur from one collar to another. That's part of what makes each one unique!

📏 How do I know what size collar my dog needs?

The best way to choose a size is to measure your dog's neck with a soft measuring tape.

Measure where the collar will normally sit, making sure the tape is snug but not tight. You should be able to comfortably fit two fingers between the tape and your dog's neck.

Please don't measure your dog's old collar. Different collars can fit differently depending on their construction.

✨ Can I order a custom collar?

Absolutely! We love creating custom pieces.

Depending on the listing, you may be able to choose your fabric, hardware, size, and accessories. If you have something specific in mind that you don't see listed, send us a message. We may be able to make it happen!

🎀 Are the bows and flowers removable?

Yes! Our removable bows and flowers are designed to attach securely to the collar while still allowing you to change up your dog's look.

They can easily be removed when you want a more everyday look or swapped out for another accessory.

🐶 Are the collars safe for my dog?

Our collars are made using quality materials and hardware and are designed for everyday wear.

However, no collar should be considered chew-proof or indestructible. Always inspect your dog's collar and hardware regularly for signs of wear, damage, or chewing.

Never leave your dog unattended while wearing a collar if they are prone to chewing or getting their collar caught on objects.

💧 Are your collars waterproof?

Our fabrics are water and stain resistant, making them great for everyday adventures, walks, and muddy-paw situations.

They are not completely waterproof, however, so we recommend allowing the collar to dry thoroughly if it becomes soaked.

🧼 How do I clean my collar?

For everyday dirt, gently wipe the collar with a damp cloth.

For a deeper clean, hand wash gently using mild soap and cool or lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly and allow the collar to air dry completely before putting it back on your dog.

Avoid bleach, harsh chemicals, and high heat, as these can damage the fabric and hardware.

Remove bows and other accessories before washing whenever possible.

🐕 Can I get a matching leash?

Yes! Matching leashes are available for select collars and can also be made as custom sets.

If you'd like a matching leash for your collar, check the available options on the product listing or contact us.

📦 How long does it take to receive my order?

Because everything is handmade, processing times can vary depending on the product and how busy we are.

Your order will be carefully made and packaged before being shipped. Current processing times will be listed on the individual product page whenever possible.

Custom orders may require additional time.

🇨🇦 Where do you ship?

We ship from Alberta, Canada.

Shipping options and costs will be calculated at checkout based on your location and order.

📬 Do you offer local pickup?

Local pickup may be available depending on the order and location. If local pickup is available for your order, the option will be shown at checkout or discussed when arranging your custom order.

❤️ Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Because many of our products are handmade and some are custom or personalized, returns and exchanges may not be available on every item.

Please check our Returns & Exchanges Policy before ordering and make sure you've selected the correct size and options.

If there's a problem with your order, please contact us as soon as possible. We want you and your pup to be happy!

🧵 What if I ordered the wrong size?

Please double-check your dog's measurements before placing your order.

If you realize you've selected the wrong size before we begin making your order, contact us as soon as possible and we'll do our best to make the change.

Once a custom or handmade item has been made, changes may not be possible.

🛍️ Will my collar look exactly like the photo?

We do our best to make every product look like the listing photos. However, computer screens may vary the colors.

This means your collar may slightly differ, depending on options.

That's the charm of handmade!

🎨 Can I request a specific part of the fabric pattern?

If you have a special request, such as wanting a particular character or design element to be visible, let us know when ordering.

We'll always try our best, but because fabric is cut by hand, we cannot guarantee exact pattern placement.

🐾 Can you make a collar featuring my dog?

We love creative custom projects! And one of our specialties is creating one of a kind gear!

🎁 Do you make gifts?

Absolutely! Our collars, bows, flowers, and matching sets make fun gifts for the dog lover in your life.

If you're ordering a gift and need it by a particular date, please contact us before ordering so we can make sure the timing works.
